may - hong kong
its summer now!
i had my hair cut short by my hair stylist. he wanted to change my hair to korean-japanese cute style... pls comment!
just came back 1 week ago
was down with flu for a week! sore throat during the trip... =(
the trip was about food & shoppings!
hehe.....
of course the main reason was for boo's bday!
had a little gathering with my uni-mates
i chose shanghai restaurant, 小南國 Shanghai Xiao Nan Guo Cuisine @ central
was good! topped it off with mandarin oriential double chocolate milk cake!
heavenly good and satisfied with the meal XD
i'm still missing the cake now! was the one of the best choco cake i had. highly recommended...
the price was reasonable for 500g which i feel just right portion for cravings
met with my hun, karen!
we had fun shoppings and exploring food together!
started our trip with english breakfast....
i was complaining to k about how desperately i was cravings for english breakfast
egg benedict, scramble eggs, big breakfast, etc....

the restaurant was small, only able to occupied around 20 persons
love the coffee froth designs
i'm missing caffe mocha (teddy bear design) i had
they mixed 5 types of coffee beans... the bitterness was just right
the taste of coffee and chocolate blend was right blend for me
i'd say its one of the best cup of mocha i had
went to fine dining at Petrus @ Shangri-La
the waiters were friendly, deco was classic & sophisticated, food was well served
not forgetting to mention the marvelous sea-view that my hun specially requested when booking
we loitered around Landmark & IFC mall
legs were tired and mouth start to itch... hehe...
our next stop was LGB at IFC Mall!
places were quite limited, and cakes were delicate
the cake wasnt that great though (their specialty was macarons... lol)
i kept my stomach for veros chocolate! hehe...
walked to Landmark to try square macarons!

so mouth start to itch again! haha...
to satisfy our cravings we headed to mandarin oriental for afternoon tea
ordered a set tea for 2
was super full... couldnt finish them =(
we were served 2 scones (original + raisins) with clotted cream and strawberry rose jam
the rose jam was great... the rose scent mix strawberry combination was really good
*thumbs up for the jam*

i love geoduck! haha....
he was complaining that i always fancy expensive food & desserts.. lol
we went seafooddddd.....
we had second bday cake
its Devil's chocolate cake from maxim's
(recommended by his friend-supposed to order awfully chocolate)
the taste was better than i expected. lol
the chocolate flakes toppings blend well with sweetness of the cake
worth trying!

my stomach is big and expanded! hoho....

boo accompanied me exploring for food list that i requested... hehe
went Mong Kok and i love this shanghai snack food
the chef, oscar was macho! lol
this shop was recommended by CNN *here*! also visited Butao Ramen @ central...
you do needa queue to indulge this ramen. its tasty and smelled good
(though not as good as the one i had in harajuku, jpn!!!)
like the menu side dishes which varies every day!

hooola!
its end of may and june is just few days away.....
i looked at my blog, the last post was on january! @@""
i've abandoned my blog for 5 months! sorryyyy...
let me updates you what happened over the few months
i've been busy applying for jobs and i just got back from my recent hk trip! =D
i'll be switching to local ib next month! hehe...
i really want to post more photos here but i feel editing (NOT PHOTOSHOP) and arranging the photos took me quite some time. i uploaded all my trips' photos in fb and privatised them.
dont worry! i will never leave my blog alone cause its just too much memories i have here.
i've been to hk for countless times. thus i'll just put the month as a remark for my trip =)
my January trip
it was uber cold. went there for 9 days! haha....
i got to wear my leather jackets and knee high boots! =P
i really love hong kong style char chan teng...
especially "lai cha" and the ham-egg sandwich
a must to visit for my every trip!

we had to take away because the queue was so long!!!
it was 1.5 weeks before chinese new year
so, most of the shopping malls are setting up their CNY decoration
i really heart shang hai food!

love those tea set offered by hk hotels and of course i have k love to accompany me!!
msia's serve different kinda style especially those malay desserts which i dont really fancy
went L'ATELIER DE Joel Robuchon @ Landmark
they served really unique and cute food!
just 1 thing that i have to complain which is the environment
its kinda public area and warm place. so not a good place for catch up!
nevertheless... its really worth for the too prettyyyy to be eaten pastries!

hmmph.. let me story you what i did for the past 30 days...

i got marshmallows from tiffany & co! i know they'd look very nice and delicate. BUT.. the taste was horrible. i couldnt even finish the first one i opened. lol..
i was under the weather where i fell sick, for 2 weeks. i lost 2 kgs because it was viral fever. did twice blood test. thank God it was fine. it was suspected dengue fever, but test results showed i'm good. my weight loss is something that everyone's concerned about. i look super thin and pale. haha! my colleagues forced me to eat. encourage me to snack more too. lol... now i have extra quota~~~ *bluek*
i rewarded myself with macarons!
i'm a lil into baking now. =D baked banana muffins! love it! it was super easy and not time consuming.
meet up with my BFF since secondary school. it was her bday. so we had a short catch up session and dinner at Pavilion. hehe...
miss her so much.
oh! my company's annual dinner was beginnig of this month. i wore a pair of very bushy-feathery-eye lashes! haha! they totally cover my eyes the whole night....

its 1am now and i'm still awake! haha...
well... its friday and i'm giving myself an excuse to stay this late to deco my blog. mr.b would definitely nag if he knew i'm still awake.
i've been working-out by doing cardio every week. i jog about 3km every week at least. thats why in my face looks less chubby. i'd say its not mainly due to diet purpose, but more to maintaining healthy lifestyle. i feel more energetic and fresh after every workout. besides, pushing myself to reach longer distance is also testing my endurance. i'm happy with my body-shape now, where i can eat everything i like without resisting any temptation and pyscho-ing myself. =D hehe... i lost a bit of weight and managed to shed my fats. my muscles around my legs and arms are more firm, together with flat tummy! i guess i've reached the min weight that i could stay on.
xmas is just next month. around 5 weeks away. time to do xmas shopping. i love xmas. i really heart xmas a lot. wished i could celebrate with mr.b, and even better if its white xmas. i like picking pressie for friends, relatives, and loved ones, and looking at them unwrapping it is heart-warming. the value of the pressie doesnt matter, whats more important is the significant of the heart & efforts to celebrate this significant day.
weather hasnt been good in malaysia. have been raining cats and dogs almost every day for 2 weeks. everyone posted in fb, twitter, and their status complaining about the jam during peak hours. i've been a bit under the weather. i had breakout along my jaw line. lotsa pimples popping out like nobody business and blemishes as well as scars on my face. :'(
its year end again, and i found that time flies! i have worked for almost 7 months! i would say work-life is better than student's. hehehe... cause i'm spending my own money despite some constraints that i had to face. i have to mention 1 thing, i miss all my friends. especially my gfs! i miss hanging out with them, the shoppings, chit chat, gossips, jokes, food, cam-whore...
okies! i will call it a night for now! nitey.... *winks*
christmas is around the corner. so do sale! haha...
its time to splurge i guess? lol..
did crazy shopping for the past weekendSSss... i insisted on the "S" because the few weeks consecutively. lol.... the sign of "SALE" is up on every store i passed by... the red striking color signs are getting on my nerve whenever i walked pass... =___=
did some outings with my niece!! haha... when 2 women combine their interests, i believe theres nothing that can resist us?! haha...
i finally found a place that serve my long time favo AFFOGATO!

omg... i love DOME now... i personally feel starbucks is over-rated. i tried the same coffee for few cafes; Coffee Bean, Dr.Cafe, Starbucks, Gloria Jeans... the best mocha latte is from Coffee Bean.
Dr.Cafe also served good and concentrated coffee! so, those 2 are almost my top choices.

it was spicy but good! my lips were red and swollen because of the food.. =P

a very lovely place. they serve really good pastries, though not as good as those i had in AU
i have been training for marathon since few months back...
every sat morning wtih KH!
so, i have extra quota to fit in my japanese cuisine. =P

i had a lOOOOooooong weekend!
i miss sleeping till noon, waking up for brunch, and heading out for shopping and movies
haha.... that sounds more like a life of "sui-lai-lai" (married rich woman)
